Rick and Susan Poss and daughter Amy own and operate St. Paul East RV Park. Along with son, Matt, they have owned and operated the campground since 1991.
The campground isn’t just a business to the Poss family, it’s their summer home.
"We take great pride in the quality and cleanliness of our facilities and grounds, our beautiful landscaping and our friendly, professional staff," says Susan.
Rick was a senior executive and officer with a major computer scanning and services company until the late 90’s, and Susan was a teacher and stay-at-home mom before deciding to purchase the campground.
"It was a good opportunity to have a family-owned and involved business in a growing industry," said Susan. "And it was a great training, learning, and maturing opportunity for the children."
Amy has finished her college degree, majoring in German, biology education and pre-medical sciences. During the summer she can be found working in the campground business and assisting RV guests and walking their dogs.
Rick, Susan and Amy spend their winters at their Marco Island, Florida home and enjoy RV’ing. Amy works her winter job at the Everglades National Park Boat Tours.
After fifteen years in the business and completion of his undergraduate and master’s degrees, son Matt began his career as an officer in the U.S. Navy in October, 2005. He completed Officer Candidate School and was commissioned in January, 2006. Following a year of training and preparation in 2006, Matt is currently stationed in Bangor, WA, serving as an officer on the USS Maine, Pacific Fleet, a nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine.
Our friendly, professional staff includes retired, full-time RV'ers who work and live with us on the campground during the summer months. They are selected because of their knowledge, their great work ethic and the respect they have for you. Our goal is to provide an excellent camping experience for you.
